Week 1 - welcome to the blog

Hey, economists, what experience do you have with Blogging?

We're about to embark on a test run, enquiring into the usefulness of Blog sites for our learning and communication as a group. I will check weekly who uses this, as it is important for me to monitor how you are approaching your homework and preparation.

Tell me, is logging in weekly to this Blog going to be an issue for anyone?
How do you think we can use this?
NB - There are marks and rewards for those who use this well and regularly.

It won't be an issue

Sorry sir, i have no experience in blogging.

My question to you is- if i wanted to open a long term savings bank account what features should i look for to choose the right bank and the right account.

Sounds good
It would be awesome to have our classwork online and open for discussion!

What sort of information will be available on the site though?

Will it be school work or will it be general discussions?

Nelly.
This should work well, I am waiting in suspense.

Hi Nelly,

Logging in weekly to this blog should be no issue for me, (Y).

Looking forward to examining everything from an economic perspective. :)

heyy.
it should not be a problem at all.

Hi Mr Nelson,
It won't be an issue logging in weekly for the economic blog but it would be convenient to have a computer lesson once a week.
Thanks,
Maddie

Hi Mr Nelson,
please can we have at least 1 computer lesson a fortnight so i can make sure i have accessed your blog account.
This blog should be a resource and homework site as well as extra info from classes.
I have used blogs heaps but not like this, so it should be interesting!

Hey Mr. Nelson,

It sounds like a pretty good idea.
Logging on won't be a issue and we can probably just post things like articles on here instead of you sending them to us.

Looking forward to the next post.

Hey Mr Nelson,
logging in weekly should not be an issue for me.

I reckon we can use this by sharing useful resources and information to help each other with out assignment.

Looking forward to your next post!

Maybe if people find good sites for assignments and things they could be shared, but that's really up to the person who finds them.
Cheers

Economics is phunnnnn

You're right: if we have the technology, we might as well use it. An easily updatable and accessible resource, like a blog, is especially useful for Economics, because it's constantly moving forward.

This could be used for raising awareness of current affairs, economic theories/philosophies, setting homework, that sort of thing.

Anonymous said...

we can use this to do homework tasks and keep track of what stage the class is at as a whole.

Anonymous said...

I think this should be an easy way to keep up with tasks....
logging in shouldn't be a problem

Mr Nelson.
The Blog idea sound interesting, it will be good to see how it goes!
Logging in weekly shouldn't be a problem, i'll try my hardest.
As a blog we can help each other, giving information among other economic ideas. I hope this works as it sounds very clever.

It wont be a problem for me.
Good ways to use this is to post up information for ass'ts, info, hwk, just use it like masterfile, but its alot easier to log onto and use.

Hey Mr Nelson,
The blog is a great idea, it will really help us understand economic concepts further and have discussions that relate to our assignments. It shouldn't be a problem for me to log on every week.

Excellent idea. Really seems to give a voice to those who might have been less confident otherwise, and automatically tracks responses. I think I'll enjoy contributing.
